Hello to all my VJ'er

I have quick question, what is the procedure or how can someone file for expedite? Is grandmother serious health problem a good expedite reason?

xx-xx-2012: Passport application sent

I-130 petition for Sibling

07-19-2012: Sent I-130 via Priority mail

07-23-2012: I-130 received by PHX lbx (forwarded to california)

07-23-2012: Priority date

07-30-2012: I-797 receipt received

1. CR1 [Completed: 2009/Total Days: 325]

2. ROC [Completed: 2011/Total Days: 222]

3. CITIZENSHIP [Completed: 2012/Total Days: 125]

i used financial hardship but didn't work, i also gave them a reason that she wanted to start school in September but i dont think that worked either...maybe your grandma's health problem could work for u...try it never know what happens

Got Ohio Permit: 10/31/08, Took the test, Failed. Retest 11/1/08 Failed, Retest 11/4/08 Passed, Got her license, no road test required in Ohio, she had international license!

I don't think it will count as reason to expedite. It can't hurt though. I think the Med reason must be something with immediate family; you or your kids.

IIRC someone here on VJ tried to expedite due to an illness with a parent and it was denied.

If you have mulitple reasons to expedite , that would work more in your favor. Think of it as the same as supplying Bona Fides for your case. Just phone bills alone wouldn't be enough. Phone bills, letter, pictures,, affidavits, ect. make a better case for the visa.

I-130 Sent : 2006-08-30

I-130 NOA1 : 2006-09-12

I-130 Approved : 2007-01-17

NVC Received : 2007-02-05

Consulate Received : 2007-06-09

Interview Date : 2007-08-16 Case sent back to USCIS

NOA case received by CSC: 2007-12-19

Receive NOIR: 2009-05-04

Sent Rebuttal: 2009-05-19

NOA rebuttal entered: 2009-06-05

Case sent back to NVC for processing: 2009-08-27

Consulate sends DS-230: 2009-11-23

Interview: 2010-02-05 result Green sheet for updated I864 and photos submit 2010-03-05

APPROVED visa pick up 2010-03-12

POE: 2010-04-20 =)

GC received: 2010-05-05
