I have something REALLY weird going on here…lol.

You know how you sometimes get like a “tic” in your eyelid where it will jump every so often but then it goes away after a little while? Well I have a muscle in my ARM that has been doing that for the past 25 minutes but it is VERY pronounced and now beginning to get sore.. It’s at the very top of my arm where your arm-bone attaches to your rotator cuff. I mean it is so noticeable that you can actually see it contracting, take a jump and then releasing about every 3 or 4 seconds and it‘s getting stronger and more frequent! #######?

Anyone know what the hell is going on and how I can get it to stop? I’ve tried heat and that did nothing, now I’m trying ice off and on. I do have very muscular arms as I heft 50 lb feed bags around all the time on the farm here but I haven’t hurt the muscles in my arms or anything….

No clue - but if that continues to happen I'd say go and gt it checked out :)

Are you tired, or have you been stressed out lately? I know that can have some impact on twitches. asically in layman's terms, when this happens, it's to do with nerve impulses being sent randomly along your neurons and axons (etc) from your brain, for no apparant reason). There are a few medical conditions with symptoms INCLUDING this, but I am no doctor, so to scare you with details would be silly, since it can also totally be caused by tiredness, a virus or stress :) Hope you feel more "normal" soon! also, as jay stated a tic can be do to stressors that have not be resolved...usually happens not during the event but once the stress starts to lessen...dr. dean

It's proximity to cows. You need to moooooove.

(Okay sorry, I'm sick and punchy. I hope it settles down and you feel better. (F) )

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

awww, you amuse me when you're sick...not because you're sick, but...nevermind.. LOL

Sharon, I'd keep up with the stretching and the heating pad to keep the muscle relaxed. But if it keeps increasing in pain, I'd have it checked out.

I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last month. From what I remember from my experience, a double dose of wine should solve your problem. Take two to 6 glasses depending on body type and weight and call me in the morning.
