I need to get a money order in Australian Dollars for a police clearance and I can't find anyone to do it. Has anyone done this before? Thanks

I had to order an Australian Police Clearance too - I just went to my bank and asked for an Australian Dollar denominated Bank Draft and they did it no problem (there was a $6 service charge). I would suggest trying your bank first.

Thanks for that information. How long did it take for the police clearance to come back to you?

It took about 6 weeks altogether. I actually expected it to take way longer so I sent it off way in advance. So it was already over 4 months old when I took it to the embassy for my interview - fortunately they didn't mind!

That is great to hear! Did you over night the papers to Australia? How much did your finger prints cost?

No, I just sent the application to Australia via regular mail. I got the fingerprints at my local Police station in Calgary, they charged $25.
