Hello All

This forum has been very helpful in filling out all these bloody forms to get my AOS going.

I have one question about the "Class of Admission" question on the I-131 form. I came in on a TN, but am applying for an AOS after I marry my fiance in August. So I'm not sure what to put into this field. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

09/03/08 - Sent I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 to Chicago Lockbox

09/11/08 - Checks cashed

09/15/08 - NOA received

09/16/08 - Biometrics appointment for 09/30/08

09/30/08 - Biometrics completed - cases available online

11/20/08 - EAD and AP approved

11/25/08 - AP received

You status is what was granted to you upon your last entry.... Your status does not change unless you apply to adjust it or you leave and re-enter and are given a different status.

YMMV

Just to clarify, I will be applying for an AOS to IR1 (I think that's the correct code) at the same time as I apply for the I-131, but since that AOS isn't valid yet I should just put TN then?

IR1 is a visa classification. You will be applying for LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENCY.....

PS. If you had approved AOS you would not need file the I-131....

YMMV
