The 21 st of May I went to the interview in Detroit for AOS, they wanted me to translate my birth certificate and a copy of my life insurance. I got those documents a few days later and sent them to Detroit, they received them the 4th of June.

I called the USCIS today and they said that my green card hasn't been approved yet.

I need to travel to Italy to see my mother that is in hospital and needs my help, I have the I-512L, but not green card yet.

Am I not supposed to get the temporary green card valid for 2 years any time soon?

See the timeline.

Hi Clod,

I'm from Italy too.. I really hope you will get approved soon so you can go see your mother!

Can't you travel on AP in the meantime?

I have one small questions for you. I just received my Birth Certificate form Torino (estratto di nascita), but it does not show my parent's names on it. Do you have the same format? Was it accepted that way?

Thank you e in bocca al lupo :)
