Got the Interview Date !!!

So, what you are saying Loto is that all doctors who have been selected by the American Embassies in India to perform medical for people travelling to US know what document to give to people who are getting their medical done. And this medical report is not the form I-693 that's used by Adjustment of Status process.

If your answers to the previous questions is Yes, is it possible for you to post your spouse's medical report for all VJers to see. Obviously, we don't need to see any personal details and any of the personal medical info. You can black out pretty much all the fields that have been filled out. I have not been able to find general report from NVC's website that my spouse would need to bring to embassay for her interview. I am just stressing out because how do I know whatever forms my spose gets from doctor after her medical exam are correct and nothing is missing?

CS, doctor gave her an envelope after the medical, which was not supposed to be opened by her. She had printed out I-693 forms as per my request before going to the medical, but it was not necessary and the doctor told her the forms they use are different. After the medical, when she went for the interview, she submitted this medical report to the first lady interviewed at the consulate. This officer arranged all her documents and forwarded to the American consulate officer. After the interview, my wife was not given this report back. Instead they put it in a sealed envelope and handed over to her along with the passport. At POE, she gave it to the POE officer and he reviewed all these again, she just glanced. Ultimately, the POE officer had forwarded these to the USCIS. When we received the Welcome Letter from Texas USCIS, it was mentioned that they received the package from the POE. That's the story!

So, you don't have to worry about the medical forms. Doctors will have it. If you need, you can just print out a "medical cover letter" from the Chennai U.S consulate web site's Packet 4 link, if your beneficiary is the applicant at Chennai Consulate.

can anyone please help me???do you really have to pay AOS bill for $70 . so VSC will continue the I-130 process???? do you really have to fill out a form Choice of Agent? can anyone please tell me what is this for??? thanks

Just got off from NVC operator asking for the interview date if it has been assigned to our case yet.. The lady replied.. Yes it has.... I was like.. woow... which one. She said " August 27th, 2008 at 7:30am" :dance::dance::dance:

I am so much happy.. :dance::dance::dance: Called my husband and told him first.. He is also so much happy..

Thank You to all VJ members and visitors :star:(F) for all your support and well wishes.. I am sure i will need all that until my husband receives the visa on hand..

i have been looking the ticket for my wife, the prices is ridiculous high, air france is aking $1200, singpore air $1400 and so on, thats also for one way ticket from bombay to lax.

My husband has looked for couple tickets, but prices are little higher than what we expected.. i am not sure on the prices.. We have go for Air-India since it gives us connecting from ahmedabad... there is no choice on any other flight for us..

you can try jet airways that comes/goes from ahmedabad

Jet airways is a bit expensive and when you have connecting from Air India.. you don't have to worry about luggage transferred from domestic to international and vice versa.. Also, Air India gives good fare deals sometimes (atleast i get those )

congrats Bani...so based on your timeline I see Mumbai consulate received your case on July 14th..and almost 1.5 month later is the interview date. Does it take usually that long?

I'm in big dilemma right now as my wifes PCC is taking long time from passport office so hoping her interview is done before November 15th that way it'll be before 6 months of her passport issuance. Do you think I shud also get PCC from local police station as well just in case? Getting a PCC from Mumbai is a hassle...

11.25.08 - POE (JFK then SFO)

11.26.08 - Visa Journey is Over!! TOOK 737 DAYS....Habibi is Home!! :) :)

12.10.08 - Applied for SS Card

12.15.08 - Welcome Letter Received

12.17.08 - SS Card Received

12.26.08 - Green Card Received :)
