I am making a list for my DIL's K-3 interview, so I'll share it. In addition, she has a copy of the I-129-F to review, and the most frequently asked interview questions, and some that are unique to her situation (previous J-1 visa, refused visitor's visa). The things the embassy doesn't specifically ask for are in the back of the file, just in case.

Appointment letter

Receipt for payment of visa fee

Passport and photocopy

DS-156 and copy (directions say not to fold)

DS 157

DS-156K and copy (I'm not suse K-3s need this)

Old passport and photocopy

Thai ID and copy

Passport photos - 2 2 X 2

Birth certificate - original or official - and copy

Marriage certificate - and photo copy (doesn't apply in your case)

Police report

Medical report

NVC letter

I-134 - notarized, with many supporting documents since the petitioner was a student in 2007

-employee letter

-letters from banks

-account statements

-pay stubs and copies for 2008

-notarized letter explaining why he didn't file in 2007 and supporting documentation

-last tax return he filed (2005) and a copy of his SS earnings statement

-copy of bio page from petitioner's passport

-evidence that his income was from his VA educations benefits and savings

-college diploma and transcripts as evidence of future earning power

Back up I-134 from Dad to pull out of the hat just in case

Evidence of bona fide relationship:

Photos and copies, dating back to Aug 2006 - especially those of our families together and those in front of land marks.

Brief time-line and explanation of relationship

Phone bills and more phone bills

Cards and notes, including envelopes with postmarks

Family's 2007 Christmas letter

A few emails (this was not an online relationship)

Receipts from travel

Visa stamps

Evidence of joint checking and money transfers

Wedding rings on fingers

Receipt from sending flowers

Petitioner at consulate for interview

Plans for their life together in the USA (not on paper)
