Should I have a job when I get at my interview?

Hi everybody,

We just sent our I-129F and our visajourney just started but I have a question, Since my boss noticed I am going to move over the states she started giving my troubles so I told her that I am leaving this september, but I am worried about to get at my interview after that month and get troubles for dont be working, somebody know if be out of work can get us troubles in our process? :unsure:

I will appreciate your help.

As long as the person petitioning for you is working you should be fine.

Thanks Princesahispana, I will feel much more relax after all this process. :thumbs:

That is correct, they look at the sponsors income not yours. My wife is in the same boat. She does not work anymore because our journey is almost complete. But it is not like a visitor visa, they do not care about your income.

7-16-08 - CASE COMPLETE!!!!

8-14-08 - Interview. APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!

it's fine if you aren't working, just as long as the petitioner is and meets the poverty guidelines you should be fine
