Yay! Shreddies!

My Mum arrived on Monday evening, and she brought me a giant box of Shreddies, and brought hubby 2 bags of Bits 'n' Bites.

YEAH!!! I forgot about Shreddies.. mmmmm now I want a bowl.. (doesn't help that i didn't have anything for breakfast).. runs for a Coffee Crisp....

I just stopped by this little shop here in Boise today called "It's a British Thing" and they had boxes of Shreddies there. They were the only cereal though. Plus they had KitKats in all flavors, Aero bars and a few others, like Rolos. It made me smile and definitely made me feel a little more at home!

Oh Bits 'n' Bites.... Everytime I go to Philly or Glen comes here, he always wants at least 2 bags of them (BBQ & Cheddar) he said they don't have a good equivalent in the US!

Yeah, Chex Mix isn't the same. They don't have those little cheesy bits.

I met one of the owners of my hubby's company (they are based in Markham, ON - i used to live in Brampton) and we got to chatting about things i miss. he told me to get a list together and he'll bring them when he's back in 2-3 weeks! and his assistant told me that if he forgets, she'll ship them down to me! (she really felt sorry for me living here in Podunkville! )

My son brought me down one of those giant boxes as well. Two huge bags in one box. Took me six months to finish them.

Nope - totally different animals, although the wheat squares they have in the chex mix (not the light coloured ones, the dark coloured ones) are like Shreddies except they are seasoned and shreddies are just sweetened wheat. I like chex though and used to bemoan the fact that I couldn't get it in Canada. Boy, times have changed.
