Strange that she wasn't charged

Lara my fiance was involved in a car accident 2 days ago. Luckily know one was badly hurt. Lara was in the car waiting for a biker to take a left turn, then !!! BANG!! a female driver went right into her from behind.

The female driver didn't even attempt to brake and hit her at 40 MPH. The whole incident was witnessed by a police officer. Lara's car has approx $6000 damage to it. The police didn't even charge the other driver as there was know one seriously hurt.

Is this standard in South Carolina to be not charged with that type of accident? Even Lara was astounded she wasn't charged for reckless driving.

Not sure why either. I hope Lara is OK.

a joung chick hit my new yorker in a similar situation. she was not charged, but called me later to ask for help in getting the cop off her back. seems he had asked for her phone number during the incident review, and was calling her asking for a date. she wanted me to help her in an internal affairs complaint against him.

i dont think they always charge people. 19 years ago i slid on wet roads and hit a new car at a car dealership...clearly my fault and i never got charged. poor people who baught that car, it was already wrecked and never owned.
