Wow! I didn't realize how worthless I was until the last page or two of this thread. My wife and I have discussed this and we've decided to move to New Jersey so we can both become trash collectors and be part of the socially elite New Jerseyite club. How's that for personal responsibility?!!

All it comes down to, really, is population density. More people = more taxpayers. You're a better person than I am because you live in a more densely populated state. Good for you.

I thought the capitalist ideal was to cut off dead weight. States don't pay their way cut 'em off! We can't have them leaching all the money from the rich states, what kind of a son of a ###### socialist idea is that?
