We are going to work on those affidavits next week for sure....marriage certificate? hmmm..I know i don't have that, like you I just sent off my divorce document (just like they asked  )...I just wish they were up front with all the documents they actually want at the beginning instead of throwing requests at the last minute....

BTW...have you gone ahead and got written permission from your children's biological father to remove them from the country? That is another headache for me as my son's father is in another part of the country and getting him to a notary is proving difficult.

Yes Welsh, I got that done at the notary on Wednesday. It cost 60 pounds and it looks pretty cool with a red seal and green ribbon. Guess what though? My ex wouldn't pay for it, the solicitor called me and said they had a problem as he wouldn't pay the 60 quid so I said please go ahead with it, I'll pay when I pick it up. So that's him out of our lives for good ;)

I'm certain they will ask for that Consent Statement when we go for the interview so get him to the notary ASAP. I can send you the draft if it helps then all you need to do it set up an appointment for your ex to go see the notary, you don't have to go the same time as him. Good luck xx

Processin May20th today...it's moving very fast these days.

Cookie, you might even hear from USCIS by the end of this week ;)

Could someone tell me at what stage you're asked for the police certificates. The reason I'm asking is that we lived in Kosovo for 1 year and in the UAE for 2 years. I already have the UK police certificate but for those two other countries they are not available. For Kosovo they are only availbale to Kosovo citizens and UAE you'd have to be present in the country when applying for one. I've checked the travel.state.gov and this is my understanding.

You need to supply the police certificates at the interview.

OK, so I sent the requested documents (RFE) to the embassy last week on Thursday, registered next day delivery. Checking online for proof of delivery is useless as it says Delivered at the PO Box awaiting collection....it will say the same 3 months later...Providing that they received my letter on Friday when do you think I will hear back from them, hopefully with a NOA2?

We received our interview date about 2.5 weeks after we sent in the DS-230 and Checklist. We received the interview date on Tuesday (July 29) and it is for August 11, if that gives you an idea of the current timeframe!
