Thought I'd ask if anyone here is on the same boat for a bit of support as we wait and wait. The website says they are now processing 14th of April but it's been that way for about two weeks now :( I guess it's true that they slow down in summer.

We filed on the 9th of May and other then some documents that they sent back straightaway because they were not needed we have not heard back since. I emailed on the 26th of June asking a question, even had the "special" code but never got a reply. Oh well...although I wish they had an expedited service for the I-130 that would cost extra because getting our kids to start school at the same time as the others would be priceless especially the teenager one.

If you fill in your timeline it will give you an estimated date, and also help others to help you if you have any questions.

It will come round before you know it, Also i am reliably informed the date on the website is the date of the oldest application they are currently working on. So they are most likely on the end of april but poor mrs miggins has hers on the 14th. Hang tight :)

We applied at the end of February, and didn't hear anything till the 22nd of May, so almost 3 months exactly. If you filed at the beginning of May it will probably be the end of July of beginning of August, then you have to do the next steps. We just got our Packet 3 today with the DS-230 and the checklist, so hopefully we will have an interview date before September!

Not yet but I'm thinking that if last Monday the website said they are processing May 2 then I should get something from the embassy maybe tomorrow or some day next week since we filed a week later on the 9th, right?

I'll tell you all as soon as I receive something.

Thanks for asking though xxxxx

RFE!!! and quite a bit. Marriage certificate for previous marriage,(I did send the divorce document) sworn affidavit from my husband about how me met, got married etc, 3 affidavits from third parties about our marriage, a statutory declaration for my daughter (she changed her surname to my husband's), her UK passport and deed poll wasn't enough plus a sworn statement because it appears that we made an error somewhere in writing 2005 instead of 2004 although looking at the G325 A we really can't see where :( so it appears that we got married in

So...been rushing around today getting this all ready and should have it all by tomorrow but we have a problem, well not really but trying not to waste any time because of the girls having to start school in the states. My husband is currently in Iraq, he's written the affidavits and had them notarised there at the base. He will Fedex them tomorrow morning but I suspect they will arrive before Tuesday next week. If he scans those documents and emails them to me, do you think the embassy will accept them and maybe we can mail the hard copies next week when they get here?

It must be even more of a headache for you with your hubby away ...

Good luck..got my fingers crossed for you

Welshcookie, do you have the samples for affidavits? I'd get those letters ready (not signed) just in case you get the same. That way you can quickly get your 3 very nice friends/family and take a trip to the nearest solicitor. It was quick and it cost 15 pounds, 5 each. If they decide to make an issue of your son's birthday, you well need to write an affidavit but I don't think that'll be necessary because it really hasn't got anything to do with evidence of your marriage.

Yesterday was manic trying to get everything ready. I'm trying so hard not to waste any time because of the girls school start times, they start so early in the states, in August rather than September.

Went to Kings Cross to get that previous marriage certificate only to be told that their system was down and I needed to return the following day. I said no way, I need one today! Luckily they were understanding and decided to get one ready for 3 o'clock. Two trips to Kings Cross on a hot day by train is no fun but I got it. At 3.30 I mailed everything next day delivery registered so hopefully we'll get something next week or so. Approval pleeease!

If any of you need a quick, efficient and friendly notary practice in London, there's one in 250 Finchley Road NW3.
