Hi Cloe, these looks really nice :) As long as hindi mag excess baggage mo dahil sa giveaways ala sigurong problema ;) About the shells, I am not too sure if hindi pwede dahil when Ryan was here I let him bring a bunch of necklace made of shells for his family and friends, and didn't have a problem with it. Also, I will bring the sand and the shells that we both picked at the beach :) Lagyan mo ng label in case they will ask.

Hi RyaNRiza.. Thank u sa infos. And I love reading this post haha.

Or masyado magastos ang air cargo?

Thanks talaga!

I sent our 60 pieces wedding invitation last month together with my wedding dress. I just mailed it through our postal service here in Gensan. It was almost 7 kilos for 3500php and it got there after 15 days..

oh great, very reasonable price in 15 days... Philpost yan diba? yayyyy that's a very good idea. thanks.

 nice idea riza. i look for it..thank u so much....muah.

You're welcome Ann, sana you'd be able to find there. Also, are you familiar with Robee Stickers? The kind of stickers they have is nice for your giveaways. Maybe you can make and print them your own para di masyadong magastos :)

Hello pai, thanks for sharing what you got for your favors, I really appreciate it. I have been envisioning that a reception looks really cool and romantic with lighted candles specially with a native holder :)

God bless you too!

Riza bringing more than 12pcs in every item is not allowed anymore.what i can suggest you is to make label for it whom you are going to give them...just a tentative name so that they will think that those are not for business use. Hope this idea will help u Riza!!!!

Days flying very fast and will be ur flight date!!!

hello rizza and rodge&ninfa,

just read this post. Yesterday, i went to divisoria and bought 20 pieces of reading light and put it inside a small purple purse-like cloth with ribbon. This will be my wedding give aways since most of our guests on the wedding will be guys. I'm worrying now if this will be allowed by the customs. What number should I call to verify if these things are acceptable?

Hello Riza! kumusta ka na? You'll soon be with Ryan and I know how happy you are.

Oo nga, dapat pinoy na pinoy coz Michael said it will be more appreciated. Haayy, planning syempre and as much as possible makatipid din. Ano na ba naisip mo?

My best wishes always to you and Ryan.

Hi All, ok lang si me. Mixed emotions na ako ngayon, excited and sad. But I know what I really want, kaya kelangan I have to deal this emote emote thing :D

Dami ko talaga ideas about giveaways. Dami dito sa Cebu. Mukhang wala ng oras para gumawa pa ako. Kaya wala na lang siguro kaming favors. Pwede din raw materials dalhin ko at do'n ko na lang i-accessorize. Gusto ko ako mag hands-on sa giveaways talaga dahil I enjoy doing it. I will still see, tight budget ko :D Pag may sobra, most probably I will get some. Kelan ba flight mo? Salamat talaga sa best wishes mo :) I really appreciate it. (F)

our heartfelt congratulations to you. With regards to wedding favors, we used these custom cookies from gumdrop cookie shop to share a message of gratitude with our guests. Was very customizable and pretty classy.

hope that helps.

This is what I wanted as a wedding favor, there got smaller sizes of these and since I won't be allowed to bring I found a website where you could order and arranged the way you like based on your motif. My fiance' wanted a variety of native stuffs from the Phils.so I still got to decide final. But I really like the lucky bamboo. :innocent:

Our wedding favors was Fortune Plant too. This was the picture I took when I was confirming my reservation in Divisoria. Php20 pesos per piece. Our motif was blood red. kaya red ang ribbon. :P It is embraced by Bamboo and pebbles.

It wasn't as beautiful as shown here, but we did something more to make it beautiful as end product.

Was checking VJ and found out that this thread is still active, so I thought of sharing to you the wedding favors we got from PH. This pen holder was actually bare (without the sand, shell and abaca rope around it) when I got it from the native store. So, I thought of accessorizing it with sand and shell that Ryan and I picked up on the beach during his first visit. We accessorized the bag with ribbon and flowerette. I like this wedding favor because it has a sentimental touch

Hi Riza!!!! I love weddings!!! I had my dream beach wedding last Feb. It was beautiful! I had everybody wearing white. I wanted it to be very Filipino so everything must be native! I purchased 20 bottles of fish sauce and used the bottles for my invitation. Of course i had it cleaned up first para nde mangamoy! The price of the empty bottles in Divi is P10 each for 100pcs. Sa patis P8 lang plus may patis ka pa!! I had it filled with sand and have my invitation inside ala message in a bottle. The bottle had our monogram & date & name of the resort.

For my giveaways, i had wood photo frames. I ordered from a local frame gallery and i got my giveaways for only P20 each (3R size)! Its cheap but it doesn't look like one! Plus it's also very useful! I suggest you wrap the giveaways in a supot (usually used when buying pandesal, you can buy it in divisoria in rolls) and tie it with rafia together with your monogram or thank you card. Very different and very Filipino!!

Just be creative. You can save an awful lot of money if you make it yourself. :D

Hello again Riza! I just want to know what is the theme of your wedding. Will it be a church wedding?? How about the reception? There are a lot of ideas out there and it is important that you have a theme. Put it in paper, have cutouts from a magazine. These will be your guide in buying your supplies so you will remain focus. Plus, everything in your wedding look put-together! Cost was every impt to me when i was planning my wedding so whenever there's an expo (or an exhibit), i'm there. I got my video/photo 15% less than the original cost. Try to search for wedding expos in the area where your getting married.

I want to share some valuable tips for you. Invest in:

1.) An experienced photographer. Your wedding picture will either haunt you or make you happy. In most cases, couples book a well-known studio and just check their sample albums. But they never ask who were the photographers who took the shots. Remember, a studio has several photographers. You must book the photographer of the album you like.

2.) Make-up artist. Always have a test make-up (even if you have to pay it!). You must look great in the photos! If the artist doesn't want it, find others.

3.) The ring. Its forever.

4.) Wedding gown. I had this included because some brides doesn't think this is worth spending but for me, it is. I want it to be special for i can pass it on to my kids. They can also modernize it (which i don't mind).

Always remember to be creative. Work on your channels! Friends of friends are a big help. You never know, they might know someone who owns bakery, a studio, a florist, a band or a hotel!! You can get big big discounts!

Congratulations Riza!!!! :D

I have a perfect and inexpensive wedding favors gift. They are called water kefir grains! They grow to double their original size and are worth a lot of money. They create a probiotic beverage called water kefir and it is really good for the immune system. You can find them on Ebay fairly cheap. About 10 dollars per person is what you are looking at, but they can make kefir forever cause the grains are alive and grow!

To all Filipinas who got married in the US, did you give giveaways to your guests? If you did, what did you give? How popular are wedding giveaways there? And to those who are still yet to get married in the US, do you plan to give wedding favors?

I had been planning to purchase native stuffs for this occasion but I don't think I still have enough time to do this. Gusto ko sana i-personalize ang giveaways kaya I wanted to make them myself. Ok lang ba kung madami-dami native stuffs dalhin ko?

I bought my wedding souvenirs in the Philippines from Papemelroti. It's a small wind chime with flower designs with our name and date of the wedding carved on it. I just put in my luggage, 55 pcs of it and I didn't have problem.

We did have traditional Catholic wedding here. And souvenirs isn't really matters here, that's what I observed during my wedding.
