Just wanted to wish you guys luck tomorrow for your Infopass appointment and hoping John gets his I-551 stamp in his passport! (F)

No news on this side about our I-90. According to CSC, they're processing I-90s from Dec. 22nd still. I however can not find the date for the I-90s from NBC/MSC... it's not in their online list.

Andy and I are taking a trip up to Vancouver, BC for my birthday in April. If I don't get my new card by then I'll let you all know how things went crossing with a temporary I-551 stamp in my passport.

You should have NO problem what so ever. I had no problem with my stamp...and mine was only valid one day longer than my trip! Yikes! :o

Oh yes, and good luck with the stamp tomorrow! :D

Thanks guys (F)(F)(F)

I just got off the phone with USCIS info line. If we don’t have a receipt soon we should call back from the time the package was delivered (30 days) otherwise time to receive a new green card will be the same amount of time as the first process for the AOS :(

I also was told my husband can be denied the stamp because we don’t have a receipt number for the I90. Was told to bring the UPS tracking verification that it was delivered along with all original receipts.

She wished us luck…. :huh::blink::wacko::unsure:

I think you will have your new Green Card by then kearinne...if not you shouldnt have a problem with using the stamp.... :D

Wow Steffi....1 day...No room for bad weather, sleeping in late, traffic...lol...kidding...

:luv: Today is Johns Birthday :luv: ..... (F)(F)(F)(F) Planning something nice while in Seattle :D

Debra, make sure you have all your receipts - NOAs and Approval letter for AOS and if you photocopied your I-90 bring that as well with your delivery confirmation/reciept.

Hello guys,

Sorry I kept you waiting.... (F) (F) (F)

We found out that Johns passport is expiring here real soon and decided Friday morning to cancel the appointment and start the process to renew his passport first, seems more important on the list...as it takes more than a few months just to do that. He is trying to make plans to go back to Turkey at the end of summer but too many things are taking forever along with some other issues....just makes us sick!!!

Still no NOA on the I-90.

Take care

Debra

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Incompetent *****ers!!

My husband just told me that I received a letter from immigration....they have returned my I-90 file!! They claim that I never responded to my RFE when they asked for 2 passport style photos. I'm so freakin' mad!! Not only did I track it via USPS to ensure it arrived, but I even received a freakin' email stating that they received it:

On January 27, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 120 and 180 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

I am soooooooooooooooo over these people! Ugh. Hubby called Senator's office and left voicemail, I called the mis-information line and what came out of my phone call with the nice officer was: there's no record of my I-485 ever having been approved, nor of a I-90 ever having been filed (which isn't new - I've heard that the last 2 times I called....which is sort of worrying!!). Though he said he obviously understood that I received my card and therefore must have been approved, as well as believing me that I filed the I-90. His advice was "don't call the 800 number again" because they would not be able to tell me anything different and if they were they would just be guessing, which wouldn't do me any good. He said to send the file back to the place of origin since they would obviously have a record of my files as they sent this stuff to me. He said if that doesn't get me anywhere and if we get too frustrated, which he would understand if we did, then he'd advise me to have my husband call our senators office. So even the immigration officer told me to get the senator involved!! Haha.

He also commented that my file was really old (or something along those lines implying that my case should long be over with), and that it looked like my case was a mess (because of all the transfers, things going wrong, not showing up in the comp, etc).

So Patrick left Charles Spry from Senator Isaakson's office a voicemail. He actually just called back and asked to fax over all the documents so that they can get on it. Will compile the stack of stuff to fax tonight. In addition I made an Infopass appointment for Tuesday the 7th to see if they can do anything for me, and if nothing else if they can give me the I-551 stamp for a year so that I have that stress off my shoulders and can travel as needed. I guess we shall see!

I'm just so ready for this saga to be over with!! It's been way too long...

I'm sorry your mess just keeps getting worse and worse Steffi. :( Hopefully you'll get that I-551 stamp and some stress can be taken off your shoulders til this gets straightened out. Talk about incompetence!

Myself, I sent an email to CSC a few days ago regarding another error on my card (apparently I have the wrong date on it too). I never got a response but my I-485 got touched 3 times in 5 days and my I-90 got touched too. I hope that means they're checking the date as well as fixing my gender. If not, I don't know whether to just forget about it and have a GC with the wrong date or try re-file another I-90 whenever I get my new card. *sigh*

Kearinne, what's the wrong date for?

My Greencard says "Resident Since: 05/14/05". That's the day I arrived in the US on my K1, not the day I was approved for AOS (which I'm not even 100% sure about the actual date) . From what I was told, the date is suppose to be the day your AOS was approved.

This is the thread where I explained it: My new greencard issue! Whee!

Boy this is such a fun process!
