Found out what my touch was...today I got a letter from USCIS telling me that my replacement corrected card will be mailed to me in the next 2-3 weeks!!!

:dance::dance::dance::dance:

I won't rest easy until it's in my hands, but this gives me hope to actually tentatively plan to see my relatives soon! :)

my wifes greencard at the very bottom has her middle name misspelled should i bother sending it in? we want to travel to romania so her parents can see our daughter for the first time, do you think the customs agents would care or even spot it? also it is a 10 year green card she can apply for citizenship in 3 years would they even say anything when she applied to be a citizen??? any help would be appreciated we have waited almost 3 years for this DAMN card the last thing i wanna do is send it off in the mail....what do you guys think???thank you for your ideas...

Hi kezzie got a ? for u i had my interview back in feb 06 and got approved and stamp and letter stating that but i never rec'd my card so i filed i90 back in may and today i rec'd a letter saying i have to go for biometrics which i had done last year i'm a little worried is this normal what if i dont go for the bio appt thanks for input in advance.

Well thought that I'd add my timeline.

I received my green card last April with my maiden name on it. Everything else including my SSN and drivers license had the correct married name on it. Anyhow I'm a procrastinator and eventually sent back my green card July 21st, including the forms that needed to be filled out and documentation that it was a mistake of the USCIS and not me. I went on vacation the first week in August and low and behold when I got back there was my new green card, with correct name, and four more welcome letters!! It took a grand total of ten days from the day I sent back the card. So just for those waiting, there is a ray of hope!! ( My service center was TX for those wondering)

Whine much? How others choose to use the board really has nothing to do with you.

In case you hadn't noticed, no one here gets paid to respond to anyone else, and it might just be possible that no one had an answer for you, or that this thread isn't particularly active at the best of times, so your question got missed. Instead of being petulant about it, why not just ask again or assume that others don't have an answer? Because, really, this response is sure to get you some attention, but I doubt it will be positive.

I didn't answer you because after giving you detailed info in a PM about the WA state driver's license last year I didn't even get a thank you. Considering that I'm the immigrant and you're the USC I think you might have been able to figure that out yourself, or at the very least thank me for my time and trouble. So responding to you and your questions on how to manage your life is really not a priority for me.

It has been over two months since I applied for a new card and have not heard a peep. From the others in the list it looks as if the MSC does send out NOAs yet I have not recieved one yet. Is it that random or should I be calling someone?

Thank you for everyoen who posted before me. I am glad I found this thread!

I never received my GC. So, as stated on my Welcome letter, I phoned after three weeks to say I hadn't received it. No problem, I was to wait for at least another couple of weeks. I did.

1 month after I was supposed to receive my card, I called again. This time they had no record of me. I repeated my receipt # -- didn't show up in system. Nothing they could do to help me, call again after 1 month they told me.

Called again. Explained the situation. Told me I had to file a I-824.

I checked online, and saw that the I-824 came with a hefty cost. No Way, I thought. Made an Info Pass appointment in early June.

Very nice woman at Indy office. Gave me the I90 to fill out, highlighted the appropriate sections and off I went. June 14 I mailed the I-90 to Lee's Summit MO. Trusting the information on the News Release that states that there is no fee for I-90 applications submitted with Application Readson "b" -- haha.

July 14 I called the Lee's Summit number. They claimed to have no record of receiving my I-90. When I mentioned that it had been received--I was looking at the confirmation confirmation (date and time) this person passed me through to a supervisor (after another 30 minute wait mind you).

She told me I could expect a 60-90 day wait and that it was unlikely to be approved "because you are saying that we did made the error."

August 17. Today I received my letter saying that my application was denied and like Kezzie, I have to pay the whole amount again and re-file.

I am steaming! This isn't the first "error" I have had to face. Right now my husband and I are seriously contemplating a move to Canada. We are fed up, not to mention broke!

By the way, the Postal official that I spoke to said that the USCIS is notorious for saying they have sent things and will not take any responsibility for this. Man, if the post office is dissing you . . . must be in sad shape.

Next stop is the senator, again.

Sorry to hear the same thing happened to you as happened to me.... I had to wait about 6 months in total from re-filing the I-90 before I got my Greencard... when I went for the new Biometrics I was told there not to expect it before six months from the date of my Biometrics but it came just a few weeks later....

I hope you hear something soon....
