I-90 Info thread for Greencard errors

I asked this on a different thread (silly me) and got only one reply (which, while a good reply, gave me only one viewpoint).

I returned my greencard for a wrong birthdate on April 21st. I have no idea how long it will continue to be held hostage...is it possible to get a stamp in my passport via an infopass appointment? I know they don't give them at the interviews anymore, but in this circumstance (approved greencard but no physical card) thought that they might do so.

It would be the Seattle D.O. I'd be heading to...any comments/experiences?

If you have recieved the NOA for your I-90 then take that to your infopass appointment and ask for the I-551 stamp in your passport....

I am working on the I-90 form now and have a question about part 3 Processing information. It asks for the USCIS office where the status was adjusted. Would this be where we went for the AOS interview? Or are they talking about the Missouri service center that has been processing this case? I was so done with forms and paperwork :angry:

It makes it a LOT easier when you have the I-90 NOA. Those that were able to present the NOA didn't seem to have any problems. If you don't have that NOA it will be a little harder. I managed to get it, but I didn't get it without a "fight." Took me 3.5 hours to get them to give it to me the first time around - just long enough for the trip. Second and third time were a bit easier because by then I guess I've had enough proof that something's screwy in my case. So it can't hurt to try!

I believe I said CSC because that's where my case was approved (without interview).

And I know what you mean about being done with paperwork. Believe me, after 32 months since the start of the AOS process I am more than wanting to be done with this. :angry:

Right now I am so depressed about this I could just cry. Which sucks since I'm at work.

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still in the boat with you guys. Since going for my infopass appointment (as my RFE requested) back in April and giving them my passport photos and signing some strange form that I got told I should have just had another biometrics for (but they told me they'd send the form anyway since that's what the RFE asked for), and the Portland Office sending in the RFE for me... I've gotten 1 email at the end of April saying they got my RFE and nothing since. My I-551 stamp expires in August (I got it in February at my first infopass appt. about this whole situation) and am waiting til then to check up on it seeing as my district office could probably find out more than me. I'm afraid if I inquire myself it'll put another hold on things.

Anyway, that's my I-90 update (which isn't much of an update at all ). I'm staying optimistic that I'll hear something soon. Good luck to the rest of you who have been with me through this from the beginning, before me and after (especially Steffi and Kezzie). I know it's a trying time, just keep on fighting. (F)
