Anyone have any tips, advice, important things to remember before he goes?

AOS Timeline:

- 06/30/2009: Filed for AOS/EAD/AP

- 07/02/2009: AOS packet received

- 07/08/2009: Check cashed

- 07/10/2009: Received all 3 NOA1s

- 07/14/2009: Received biometrics appt.

- 07/29/2009: Case transferred to CSC

- 08/01/2009: Advanced Parole Documents Issued

- 08/06/2009: Biometrics appointment completed

- 08/11/2009: EAD issued (received 8/14)

- 11/12/2009: AOS approved

- 11/20/2009: Green Card in hand!

Have all the paperwork (vaccination records, etc ) ready as stated on the documents he got sent from the consulate....

That's all you really need.

AOS

2009-01-12===> Sent AOS packet via UPS
2009-01-13===> AOS packet received
2009-01-28===> NOA's received in the mail
2009-02-01===> Biometric appt received in the mail
2009-02-06===> Completed biometric appt thru walk-in
2009-02-06===> Applied for expedited AP thru the phone
2009-02-14===> Received AP in the mail
2009-02-11===> Case transferred to CSC
2009-02-23===> EAD received
2009-05-02===> Green card received in the mail, no interview done.

I hope he will be able to go to interview tomorrow..If you know there was a terorist attack to American Embassy in Istanbul today..It was really bad..Well he should get all his paperwork ready, and be calm..he needs to be honest with his answers..and im sure he will be just fine..I wish you and him good luck..My prayers are with you

I hope he will be able to go to interview tomorrow..If you know there was a terorist attack to American Embassy in Istanbul today..It was really bad..Well he should get all his paperwork ready, and be calm..he needs to be honest with his answers..and im sure he will be just fine..I wish you and him good luck..My prayers are with you

His interview is July 29th - his medical exam was supposed to be today in Ankara (the US embassy is in Ankara, consulate is in Istanbul - K-1 visas are processed in Ankara) but he got there and they told him there had been some mix-up in scheduling his appointment and to come back on the 16th. I feel badly that he drove out there (an hour each way) for nothing AND had to pay for gas which is about twice as expensive as it is here in the States...yeah, crazy. Anyway...here's to waiting.
