just a few questions.

When my fiance goes to the hospital for vacinations and other check up's for the visa, how does that process work? She said she has already had alot of shots and may not need some of them. I've read about the HPV shot that takes 3 months and you can have it done in the U.S. Does she tell that to the Dr. or to the people that interview her? anything else I would need to know ahead of time, or I can talk to her about would be greatly appreciated. She is from Chiba. I'm trying to explain the visa process to her and it's overwhelming for me, so I know it will be alot for her to understand completly.

Thanks

good luck to all!

Hi Moto,

You can go to the National Institutes of Health website and they have the required immunizations there for immigrants. I doubt she is required to get HPV. There is also a link from the DOS website. She probably only needs the following: Tetanus, Diphtheria, measles, mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Polio.

She will only need to have TETANUS DIPTHERIA AND MMR ( MEASLES MUMPS AND RUBELLA) , if she is over 26, I think! Her requirements are based on her age.

If she doesn't have shot records, they can test her blood and tell her what she'll need. My husband couldn't find his and when he went to the doctor (she can only got to one on the embassy approved list) they gave him blood test and he only needed one shot. The list of doctors is sent with packet 3 that the US Embassy sends out.
