From what I noticed, a lot get theirs within a week. It's been almost 2 weeks for us! I went ahead & called USCIS earlier...expecting the "DUUUUR it'll take 30 days to get to you."...what a bunch of bullpoo...it only takes 3 days for cali mail to get here. :/ - The operator kept going silent when I asked him stuff, I suppose he needed to look up his answers! :P

It's nerve whacking since I know we'll need this for the interview (please tell me it's NOT needed until the interview?). I really hope they're not a-holes about a copy request like they were with the NOA1.:blink:

Hi Boohbah,

Look at my timeline ...in our case it did not take that long......It was from California and my SO is in Las Vegas...Hope you get it soon and as far as I know you do not need NOA2 for interview even if some people takes a copy of it...The Embassy know you are approved ;) or they would not have your file....NOA2 hard copy is needed for AOS ...not for interview in London

Ah I see! Didn't think it made sense as to why we need it for the interview...so it's just a "in case" thing for some people. :P

Yeah I saw your timeline, it is what prompt me to call USCIS earlier. lol

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
