Anybody have any idea what the words "Review for Issuance" mean? They told me that Administrative Processing is complete and it is now under "review for issuance".... haven't a clue what that means... Is that code for "sitting on someone's desk while we cook up another reason to delay your visa"????

K - Trying to plan a waleema and not knowing if it will be summer, fall, winter or spring before he gets here... :(

It is best not to make any plans when one is going through the Cairo Embassy.

"review for issuance"....It seems we were told that well before a home visit and the second interview. But every case is different, so just keep checking in with DOS and e mail the Embassy every other week.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I think it means that it's being checked to make sure the paperwork is all okay before ordering printing of the visa. If they find something missing or decide they need something, I guess they will put you back on AP.

Apparently the security checks can affect the process at this point bc they have all of them by this stage, but if one is expired you will have to wait again or if a name hit happens again before the visa is in his hands.

Yeah, I wouldn't make any plans - but it does sound promising
