My name is thav and I'm a petitioner. I filed bother petition I-130 and I-129F. now both of them have been approved at the same time. I don know what shoul I do? should I cancel one of my petition ? how would I do that? If I can use only one petition which one would be better? K3 or IR1?

You want to find out which one get forwarded to NVC, and then you can decide to pursue which one or both depends on one or both get forwarded to NVC.

Maybe you want to fill up the timeline so others can advise you accordingly and it helps us to gauge our timeline?

Keep your options open! Don't cancel anything. My kids are wishing now that they had the option of going for the CR-1 rather than the K-3. Their I-130 has not been sent to the NVC. There are pros and cons, but the pros seem to lean more heavily towards the CR-1. In Bangkok I think the interviews for both take the same amount of time to get (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). The time difference is at the NVC. What I dislike about the K-3 is he prospect of a lot more paper work and dealing with the USCIS for many more months/years. My DIL won't be able able to work right away (she likes to keep busy). The adjustment of status fee also seems a bit steep. Most couples could put that money to good use someplace else. For now they're getting the K-3, unless someone locates that I-130 very soon.

Wait and see if they send both petitions to the NVC, or just one of them. Don't close any doors.
