Good Morning to all!

I was so excited the past days coz I already got my schedule for interview on August 19, 2008 for my K3 Visa application. I even paid Delbros yesterday for the verification fee. And I am making myself ready for the my tentative schedule for my medical.

And this morning my husband called that he got another letter coming from NVC. It is stated there to pay for the processing fee of $70 and to submit I-1864 Affidavit of Support and a case number was assigned to us. Well, it seems like this is the case number for the CR - 1.

I am so confuse because I already got a scheduled for interview then now the NVC wants us to take the route of CR 1?

If we will ignore the letter from the NVC for CR-1, will it affect my K3 interview on August 19, 2008? If will be in the states using the K3 will I have problem when I adjust status since we ignore the letter from the NVC about CR-1?

This is happening now because my I-130 was approved first last May 5, 2008 and my I-129 was approved only last June 13, 2008.

Is someone out there have the same situation I am in? Please do enlighment my mind.

I feel so down...I thought I will be with my husband soon but now It's going to be one step backward again crying.gif

Please Help and Thank You

It's possible that if you start the NVC process for CR1 now, it will be completed before your K3 interview. Then, your K3 interview will be for CR1 instead.

That's of course if you decide to take that route. If not, you can just ignore the correspondences associate with the I-130 and proceed with the K3.

Sorry I got redundant questions...I just want to have a peace of mind. My K3 interview is upcoming soon and I want everything to be clear.

Does the NVC knows that I got an interview for my K3 visa at the US Embassy?

Oh my! Im getting crazy here :crying: :crying: :crying:

Leah

Honestly, I do not know if you could get it through the NVC and get it sent to the embassy before the interview. That is cutting it a little tight. But, if you got the interview postponed a couple weeks, then you could do it. I know the thought of that makes you cringe, but it would be worth it. Then you just change the K3 interview to a CR1 interview. It is cheaper, faster and a lot better than the K3.

Since your I-130 was approved May 5th, you actually could have been through the NVC by now with your I-130.

BUT, If you do nothing with the I-130, it will not effect anything with your K3 or adjustment of Status.

Hi Leah!

Yeah, I am very much aware that CR1 is a lot better than the K3 coz I will not have any adjustment of status when Im already in the US and I can work from there.

Thanks for the clarification and leading me to that link.

I have to talk to my husband about this...May the Good Lord guide us in the right decision.

Have a good day!

Hi!

Thanks for the clarification at least I have a peace of mind that the letter from the NVC will not affect if I will pursue the K3.

I will ask my husband if what does he wants coz if I will think on the practical way, I will go for CR1 but I have to consider what my husband wants.

Thank you again.
