Saudi inflation is also exacerbated by the weak dollar, because the riyal is pegged to the U.S. currency, increasing the cost of imports — and the kingdom imports most of its essential goods.

What do they expect? They force increases on the cost of crude; reduce drilling at-a-whim, making the cost to move their " essential imported goods" from here [ or anywhere] to there more expensive; therefore their cost of living increases- yet the profit from the oil is not shared equally amongst the KSA citizens.

I have no sympathy for them--well maybe a little for the regular Joe Schmo Saudi suffering for the greed of the Royal family.
