Well join the NBC club I sent my application to the lockbox and they routed it to the National benefits center formerly the missouri service center. Its where they send applications for pre interview processing. From here it can be routed to the California service center (which means most of the time no interview) or your local office for an interview. Either way there are a lot of people at the NBC. Im trying to locate almost everyone at NBC so we can have a general idea who's file they are working on and if there is a particular order....... well good luck sit tight because I am still waiting on my fingerprinting letter for almost a month and two weeks now....

WoW a MONTH and two weeks just for the fingerprints its a along time, hopefully your case will be transfered to the California Service Center and i wish the same for us and everybody so it will be no interview "as known", in this case the long waiting for the fingerprints worth it.

by the way if you did not get your fingerprints, will you get you EAD card or not ? because if its NO its really an issue, we can't work and we can't apply for a driver's license while waiting for the biometrics ( fingerprints , photos , ...)

Ours was also sent to the NBC.... as the link says, that it's where they send the cases that will need interviews. At first I was worried that there was a problem with our application, but then I realized that it is pretty much standard procedure that couples who married in the US and never went through the fiance interview would have to go through an AOS interview. The worst part about having your case at NBC is that it's almost impossible to track the processing times online, since they don't show the I-485 applications

I don't think you have anything to worry about!!

Our file remained at NBC through the entire process. The only update we received on the website was that the case was approved (after the interview, of course).

We sent in last part of May '08 our AOS to Chicago, arrived & signed June 3rd. Then we were sent shortly after our NOA's for all three documents, then shortly after the Biometrics appointment letter for I485 & EAD set for July 2nd (travel document & ead are still at MSC or NBC in Missouri). There is still nothing available for the travel document online.

July 3rd, AOS (I485) was transfered to CSC and touched July 7th. Thats all we know at this point ....

Hi there, Just wanted to let you know that I am at the NBC as well. I was able to view everything online as soon as I received the Biometrics letter....

Yes, they hold these one at NBC for those needing interviews, there is a slight chance that they will transfer only the I 485 to your local office for additional processing and the interview.

All EAD's & AP's are processed at the NBC (MSC) however.

All the Best to ALL!!!!

We are also at the National Benefits Center. Thanks for the info on the update notices. Been frustrating seeing a lot of people get touches and nothing for us. I figured we would have to do a interview since she was already here in USA. Will feel better once we have the interview.

Every AOS gets sent to NBS. It's the national service center.

Sometimes they udpate your file online, sometimes they don't. Sometimes you have to wait month for it to even show up.

I know they have my file at my local office since I have an interview schedule, however when they finally put my case online it said it was at NBC. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

And yes you need to do the biometrics before you can get either EAD or AP.

08.2006: Entered with a B-2 visa.

07.06.07: Civil Wedding

07.17.2008 AOS approved with interview. It took 367 Days!

We are also at the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER for all three (I485, I765, I131) so far. Sent everything in to the lockbox on June 6th and had biometrics on July 5th. Based on March and April filers many are getting their EAD/AP at about the 2 month mark after submitting so we are hoping for that! Maybe we will get our 485 transferred out to California soon too! Good luck everyone and hang in there!
