Hi!!!

I just got married to my wonderful husband and I am so happy!!! But I am not looking forward to the next paperwork process.. It feels like I don't understand this one as good as the K-1 process.

Here are some of my concerns:

I want to take my husbands last name. DO I change that now or do I have to file everything with my maiden name first and then file for a new SSN card? Or can I just attach a copy of my marrage licence right away?

Is it correct that I send my SSN papers to one place and my AOS' to another?

Hope one of you guys can help me!

Take care and have a wonderful night!

Lots of LOVE from ME!!

When you file your AOS you can change your last name into your husband's so with filing your SSN so that you don't have to go back to SSN office many times. I guess you have to go to a loca SSN office near you or you can apply on-line for your SSN number.

Ok.. cool.. so can I still put my husbands last name on my AOS application now then?

I will go to a local SSN office to apply for the SSN card and then I send in the AOS to a USCIS service center.. right?!? Do they charge a fee for the SSN or is it just the AOS that costs?

Thank's again.. and sorry for being so confused.

Lots of LOVE from ME!!
