i, of course, found this forum a few hours after i sent off my k1 visa app.

and now i see i have made a mistake. in regards to the biographic information i printed off four pages but they were all exactly the same so i only sent one page in for me and one for my fiance. i saw on the k1 guide that it should be all four pages. should i send more in to amend the application or wait and see what they say? and what WILL they say anyway? will i have to send in the whole thing again and pay again, etc??

also, i sent in copies of joint bank accounts and letters from friends and old leases of ours as well as pictures but did not date the pictures. will this be a problem?

finally, i see on here a lot of people talking about proving finances and whatnot. but i didnt see anywhere them asking for copies of bank info, etc. i will be working in england, where my fiance is from, while waiting for all of this to go through...will that be a problem?!!

basic other info: i applied to the nebraska office, fiance is english and i will have an unmarried partner visa and be working in england with him starting in june. we are now in prague.

thanks in advance for all y our help...if only ihad found you a few hours earlier!!

I'll just tackle your first question: No, you won't be asked to pay again or start from scratch. If they are bothered about the G325A form, they will issue you an RFE (request for evidence) asking you to send the full 4 copies. I wouldn't try and do anything before you receive this because:

a ) Perhaps no-one will care, and you'll get away with it - don't hang your hopes on this, though

b ) Anything you send to them is pretty likely to get lost without the actual RFE notice itself, which helps the staff ensure that your submission goes in the right file.

An RFE for something so easily fixed is not a disaster, though it may delay your case for a few weeks.

hey thanks so much for replying...just to clarify...when you say a) perhaps no one will care and y ou will get away with it are you talking about the photos not being dated? i guess i am now just thinking that perhaps cos i had other things in there that they would be sufficient.

also, while i am waiting would anyone reccomment starting work on some of the other forms needed for future steps and if so, what would that be. for example, should i start doing the affadavit of support now, etc. i am just trying to make this go as afsat as possible cos we dont want to stay in england very long, although i do realize i am lucky that we are able to be together while we wati for this fun process to go through!

sorry i am stupid, just read your post again...didnt notice the colon the first time! just a bit panicky at the moment i am sure you understand!!!!

allibee,

All 4 pages of G-325A are not exactly the same. You need to pay more attention. And, even if all 4 pages were exactly the same, the form contains 4 pages for a reason (at least there used to be a reason). You want to get out of the habit of second-guessing. All that being said, you'll either get away with it or be sent an RFE for the 3 missing sheets.

Undated pictures may or may not be a problem. Probably not since you've provided other evidence to document that you and your fiance have been together during the required period of time.

Your problem with working in England is that, in order to sponsor your fiance, you will need to be working in the USA. Have you got a new job lined up for after the move? If he has sufficient funds of his own, he may not need your sponsorhip for the visa.

Yes, this is stressful, no doubt. I was referring to the G325A form. With regard to the photos, it may or may not matter. I presume you mean pictures sent to prove that you and fiance have met. If there's plenty of other evidence then they may well overlook the fact that the pics aren't dated.

The next round of forms will be sent from the consulate to your fiance - it's really his job to complete them, though of course you can help. The one exception is the affadavit of support - you need to complete that and have it notarised. I'm pretty sure this form isn't needed until interview day, but don't take my word as gospel on that.

Oh, and your fiance could apply for his police certificate now - it's good for one year from the date of issue.

I thought that she was talking about the G-325A for biographic info and not the I-485 which I don't see anything about in her post but hopefully they won't give you an RFE for the last 3 pages. If they do though it probably won't slow things down much. Good luck to you!

You're right. Fingers were going one way, brain the other. Thanks for pointing this out, I appreciate the correction.

I was talking abuot the biographic information sheets, these were the ones I only filled out one page each for so i am prepared to recieve the RFE, ready and waiting

i dont have a job lined up in the states at the moment but i would probablz work for my dad for a while upon our return and anyway we ¨have a joint bank account with a significant amount of savings in it so i guess i thought that would be OK.

i sent the forms in mondaz this week from prauge so it will prob take about 5 days to get there, i wonder how long it will be before i hear from them...

thanks for all your help
