HELP HELP HELP

My fiance will interview in less than 2 hours. Unfortunately i hired a lawyer that is very hard to reach. Question:

Does my fiance have to present my Financial documents (i-134, USpassport, employment letter and current tax year) and evidence of relationship (emails, photos etc) to Window 5 if we have already submitted this to USCIS thru the lawyer??

My lawyer keeps repeating do not give these updated items UNLESS specifically ask for them. This does not match what the embassy checklist.

Please help me and respond now please...

Since you are not required to not submit the I-134 et al... to the USCIS, I would be curious if they are even in the file for review. This is all information that is presented at the interview. She should present all the documents that are requested, either as requested from the checklist or verbally.

hope this reaches you in time. When we went for my now husband's interview, they CO did review the i-134, the employment letter and current tax year in fact kept copies even though our attorney had submitted the required docs. so please bring everything from the check list with you. also we had to show pics and evidence of ongoing relationship as well.

GOOD LUCK

Thank you everyone for responding. If we get through this i'll definitely be an active participant on this forum.

Did the CO ask for those documents or did you automatically included them at window 5? This is where i am confused. Either way we will bring all documents, just dont know if we should automatically hand it to them or wait until ask per my lawyer instructions.

Thank you for your time.

What are yo afraid of if she does hand them all over at the beginning rather than waiting for a specific request?

Too much information or confusion per lawyer, which may lead to further review. Can she even ask Window 5? Will they help her?

Obviously each Consulate is different. Our consulate was very helpful..... No harm no foul! I would ask away...

Consulate is the section of the diplomatic mission (sometimes within the embassy compound) where visa interviews are held...

Thank you very much for responding and all your help. Looks like my answer is to submit everything that is on the embassy checklist (despite what my lawyer said) and anything verbally requested. Also, to ask good questions. Please let me know if you think of anything else.

Thank you for time...

assuming that you're not trying to keep something "out of sight". simply have her give window 5 everything that she has and the staff will rifle through it; they will return anything that they don't need right then and there.

good luck

SHE PASS!!! I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR HELPING US AND THIS GREAT SITE!!!

We did provided everything that was indicated on the Embassy checklist, however, we did omit things that we thought should not be on their radar again since it already was submitted to the USCIS (including I134) per the lawyer! So, the answer was a combination of the 2 and we also consulted with the infamous lady in window #5 and she did indicate what we should add. Thank you alll!!!
