Interview Date Assigning...

Hello my fellow VJ’ers,

Well the time is here again, the second week of the month – Hotting up our heads again awaiting to see if this time around, for those with approvals in April will be granted an interview date. So far I haven’t spoken with a representative, I just listen to the automative service and it still hasn’t changed – Stating my case was approve April 15th.

My question is this, before we get an interview date, shouldn’t the system state that our case has been forwarded to the Kingston embassy? And since we’re approaching the middle of the 2nd week and I have not heard this, is it still possible that I will get an interview date? Or it’s when we get an interview date, it’s updated? I don’t know the procedure, just going by what a friend of mines told me. I don’t quite remember when her case was approved but she did tell me shortly after the 8 wks was up, she checked the automative system and it said that her case was forward to the Kingston Embassy. She said she didn’t talk to any representative. Then she said about 3 to 4 days after that the system provided her with an interview date.

So could someone please clarify, those who have their dates/already finish this process, to us who are waiting an interview date. Did the system first provide you with the info of your case being sent to the Kingston Embassy first before getting an interview date? I’m scared right now to call and even ask them that question.

The system will not change until after you get an interview date assigned. Since NVC schedules CR1's they have to assign the date before they send it to embassy. I've seen that it could take a couple days after the interview date is assigned for the system to update and change so its best to just call and speak to someone, or wait til you hear it changed. By the time its changed your case is probably well on its way to Kingston.

All Kingston interviews are assigned throughout the month. For whatever reason they dont seem to follow that 2nd week thing...go figure. Many Yardies have bee getting dates throught the month so its a ####### shoot to figure when they will actually assign it. I do know that there are still dates open in August and there have not been as many deliveries from NVC to the embassy in the last month or so, so thats good to hear. Means that their may be less cases getting sent to the embassy and backlog can easy up a bit.

Good Luck to you and I both!

Tash; the message did not change until weeks later. It only changes when the case is shipped to JA. You have to call and talk to an operator to find out if you were assigned a date. The automated system does not give that info about the interview date. From case completed to case sent to embassy the message does not change.

I wish you an Kishmar both good luck with getting an interview date assigned for August since you both had your cases completed in April.

Claire;

My girlfriend case completed March 25th (still no RASS date)...and her HUSBAND is being a total A$$ not supportive at all. I tried to talk to him while I was in Jamaica and he telling me he has needs. I told him he needs to think about what he says before he opens his mouth. Now, she's having second thoughts about their marriage.

I talked to NVC yesterday. They said that KNG has been so backed up lately that these past few months they have not released many dates at all. I tried to ask how many dates are released per month and the lady says it just depends on how many kingston feels they can take. So it always changes. And if Lawny was right about over 200+ interviews the other tuesday well that is ALOT! So who knows how many people are in front of us. As a CR1 we are behind alot more than othrer visas cause our case is not at the embassy yet. So when it comes to CR1 visas its all out of order. lawney has a friend waiting since march!? Thats crazy, its been 5 months for that poor couple.

Exactly Lita;

And her (forgive me) DUMBA$$ husband is not support her through this. I talked to him until I was exhausted. He's so friggin ignorant it's not even funny. I did my best to explain the process to him and he telling me rubbish about "he's a man"...he's a man and he has needs. Another thing Lita; It was so many people there on the 24th. When I called to make Marcel's medical appt. the lady was like June 24th is going to be a very busy day at the embassy. When we had our interview all windows were occupied. The only thing that pissed me off was that the closed Section B so, the people could go to lunch. I was like this is unbeliveable and the woman came back and cleared the 10 people that was standing there. We were in the front of the line. Girl, it's just nuts. I feel it for those still waiting.

Oh that's very sad with your friend. I really hope ours (all whom awaiting a date) don't stretch that long. Some excuse he have and a poor one at it. So what if he's a man, women don't have needs too? Still I wish all goes well for them. He seems very stubborn. Who knows.... things happen for a reason.
