Hello....

I came here in San francisco, California for over a month now with a fiancee visa. Anyone can :help: me what to do or things to do? We never set our wedding date yet(but we already had marriage license) because I'm waiting for my family to final their travel plan to come over here, but by the time they could come I am almost 90 days from the date I arrived. Somehow I read it here :unsure:I can get SSN even if we are not yet married. Hope to hear good advice. Thanks..

you definitely can apply for SSN even if you're not married yet before your I-94 expires but of course it still is on your maiden name. You can change it later on once you have your gc OR you can wait till you're done with your AOS before getting one by then you're free from hassles of going back and forth to the SS office for change of name, anyways SSN is not a requirement in filing for adjustment of status.

Good luck on you wedding! Happy life together :)

Yup! Sweetpink is right, its better if you get your SSN after you get married so you don't have to go back to SSN office to change your name or u can even get SSN after AOS so that you won't also go back to change the validity of your work authorization then it saves your time.

But do marry first before your 1-94 expires.
