Hi, Everyone!

I am just wondering how long to wait for an AOS interview after biometrics? We are waiting patiently for our interview appointment letter but it seems would never come :( .

Do I have to call USCIS to find out my AOS case status? There's no changes in my portfolio at the USCIS website since Jan 24, 2006

Thanks in advance... all input will be appreciated!

Unfortunately there is no definate timeline to give...it's kinda like sking how long is a piece of string. If you do call the Information Line, they can only tell you what shows up on your online USCIS portfolio and won't be much help at all.

The best thing to do is just be patient and perhaps start gathering information for the interview. At least then when you get the interview letter, you'll be ahead of yourself

Processing times

choose your district office and it tells you the receipt dates of the I-485 they are working on.

I think , it tends to be that way - long wait. You mailed the application in January of this year, we sent them August last year and only today we had our interview. As others have said , it does depend on the processing times at your distric office . It is a long wait for some of us .......

Hi Princess:

Liam is still awaiting news from Missouri also. They haven't even approved/sent his EAD yet. Our case was last touch Feb 25, three days after biometrics.

I don't know what is going on at the NBC (Missouri), but whatever it is, it sure has slowed many of us down in getting on with our lives.

Hope we all hear something (good) very soon!!

Lynn

Thank you everyone for the informative input. I was just getting tired of waiting... I have everything ready for our AOS interview except for my I-693A vaccination supplement. I am waiting for a copy of my medical report from Hong Kong. When I get it then I will make doctor's appointment to have two more shots (haven't got it during my medical exam). Then I'll be 100% ready! ;)

Hi, Lynn!

I don't know either what's going on at NBC (Missouri) hope they didn't forget our cases ;) . Have you got something that it says your case will be transferred? I don't have any idea where is our AOS case now.

Hope Liam will receive his EAD card soon!

Hi Princess:

I keep thinking Missouri has forgotten our case...BUT, since we cannot realistically question them about the EAD until their processing date is 30 days after they acknowledge receipt of our case (it will actually be 60 days, but since we had the RFE, that gave them an additional 30 days for processing). We'll wait. Right now, the website states they are processing EADs with a date of February 13. So, we have to wait til the date shows March 1.

We haven't heard anything about a transfer, but we really are hoping for that. Liam and I have been together 4 years before we applied for the Fiance' Visa, so our case is very straight forward. The 180 days for processing the AOS will be July 30. We'll see!

At any rate, if you hear anything, please email me and let me know.

Take good care!

Lynn
