Hi, everyone.

Is it normal for USCIS to take nearly 3 months to update/"touch" a case of I-129F?

My American fiance and I have filed our I-129F and received our NOA1 dated on March 31, 2008.

My account at USCIS website shows that our case was touched on April 21, 2008.

However, it has not been updated/touched since then.

I see that majority of those couples who received the NOA1 of the same date as ours or even

later than our NOA1 have already received their NOA2s.

I imagine this nightmare feeling that has been wearing on me and my fiance is something

that many of you guys here have been through  . But I really need some encouraging information

if any of you guys here could provide us!!

Is our situation normal ??

What can we do to make sure that USCIS will process our case eventually??

If they are going to process our case eventually but FOR SURE, I can deal with it.

But what really scares me is the possibilty that our case is just left unnoticed and is never gonna be processed...

Please provide us with any information or advise that might help.

Thank you in advance.

I would try not to worry too much, the fact that your petition was touched in april without a resulting rfe means that your case should be fine, the approvals seemed to have slowed down since we filed in January. It seems they are only just now approving end of March petitions so I would just try and wait a little longer.

Don't worry. We filed in Feb and no touch until now, according to USCIS site. But guess what? I discovered another site where I saw that my paper was touched in May 18. Not only that, this site will let you monitor better. I found this site here in visajourney. Let me give it to you coz it really gave me so much hope and encouragement. it's http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/

Read other posts on this forum. So many are also complaining that they don't have any "touch". It doesn't really matter. Some get so many touches and still get delayed. Others don't get any but they get their NOA2 fast. I know how you feel. It's like being in a black hole isn't it? UGGGHHH!!! but then, we are all in the same boat. We will all get there. We just have to hold on and keep praying.

Be blessed! ~ liza

Things will be fine...just be patient, I understand what you're feeling right now coz I've been there, the anxiety and everything. Some cases they won't show any updates not until the approval.

Just prepare yourself for a long wait so u won't be frustrated.I have waited almost 8n months before we get the approval.

But hey!you filed at Vermont, Im sure you're approval is just around the corner!

Good luck and GOd bless!

There were numerous reports of cases approved without a single touch. I really would try to calm down (I know, I know, easier said than done :)). You are perfectly within USCIS processing times and should expect your approval really really soon. Don't stress yourself out. And best of luck, of course!!!!

Makes me wonder what frenzy I'll go into close to our approval time :)...

I wouldn't worry about it. Our case didn't get a touch until the day we got our approval. Like the other person said...Vermont is moving much faster so your approval should be just around the corner. Good luck to ya!!!

The website still says that my case is "received and pending", not a single touch, nothing. We received NOA 2 on May 8th and meanwhile I'm waiting for packet 4 from Frankfurt. I wouldn't worry too much about the information on the website.

Good luck!

S&D--Could you fix your timeline? You need a date that you mailed in your petition. Then you would have predicted approval date range. Also more data helps with those predictions and with Igor's list.

lizamaki--Make a timeline. It helps everybody.

I am very thankful for those who posted comments. I felt very encouraged :star: !!

I guess I was overreacting and being whiny about the situation.

Just to know that we are not the only couple was a great help, though!!!!

Thanks guys!!!!

Every time when I see a new couple that receives NOA2 on Immigration Timelines,

it was pretty depressing, and yeah, it is like being in a blackhole!!!

I don't see the end of this!!! I am sure this is how it feels to most of the couples.

Plus, I hear about some very unfortunate cases due to USCIS error or something else,

I cannot help but think "what if we are one of those cases..."

I guess this is what every couple has to get through.

Thank you for letting me know that more date helps predictions :wow: !!

I wish I remembered exactly when my petition was mailed in....

I have to ask my fiance as he is the one that actually does all the mailing.

I will fix it when I find out more about it!!!!!
