Dorothy-- Do you know what caused your food poisoning? I got it once and man-- I was totally knocked out for about 3 days and i lost 15lbs in 3 days as well.. and the pain was excruciating. Probably should have gone to a hospital, but ummmm not going to spend the money I then lost another 15 lbs in the next few months because I couldn't even imagine wanting to eat

Amal-- I solved that blanket ####### really fast. Ammar doesn't mind the A/C at all and he's not a wrapper upper too badly, but he INSISTED on us both being under the covers in Jordan at all times-- he would cover me up. Well, I got a really bad fever one week and he covered me up with like 2 of those horrible blankets and also covered up my face-- which caused me to panic (fever was over 103 and i was really not totally with it) and I punched at him and kicked and screamed until he uncocconed me. It worked out. He's never tried to coccoon me again. He now accepts that I really don't want to be covered up and that i do just fine and don't get sick at all. I'm also a bad sleep talker/walker and apparently if he tries to cover me up and I am actually too hot I will tell him (in my sleep) "STOP or I will kick you". How pleasant I am in my sleep!

Mine still tries to cover me up and I still continue to throw the blankets back at him. I've recently realized that his attempts to cover me up have been more due to the feelzies than coz he's worried I'll get sick. Too bad hubster..mama ain't covering up come hell or high water..(i guess it would be come snow or ice storm??) anyway.. I sometimes get extremely involved in my dreams and when it gets really intense (and i'm a character in the dream) I actually try to say out loud what I'm attempting to say in my dream and end up waking up the hubster. He, in turn, wakes me up asking if I'm ok coz all that actually comes out my mouth is moans coz i have "sleep paralysis" so my voice won't work... nice huh??

See this is where culture is divided! My husband (north african decent from israel) HATES to be covered, feet have to be out and i usually get the whole comforter to myself. I love to cocoon. Not during a fever though, ugh. I will say it took alot of training for me to teach hubby that our kids need to be in lukewarm baths and dressed lightly when they had fevers and my MIL CONSTANTLY overdressed my baby last summer.

I do the moaning thing sometimes while trying to talk.. but then usually I actually get ti out. my problem is I'll also open my eyes and seem perfectly awake-- but I'm dreaming. So I'll be chatting away to him or whoever is around (I'll do this on the phone too) and eventually I'll start making really weird requests (like bring my my bouquet so we can trim it) and the person will realize I'm sleeping. This morning I eventually woke myself up but not before telling him that I was about to "burn in the oven! The oven has fallen on me! Get it off! My skin is melting!" Then i yelled my friend's name and that's what woke me up. He asked me if I was being burned under a fallen oven, and I was like... ummm... yeah.

Thankfully it was a pretty mild case and I think it was more of an irritation and i am suspecting I got it from eating unwashed fruit - I'm absentminded at times and forget that they need to be washed. But I just didn't want to take any chances getting on a subway. And as a bonus I got plenty of sleep. I was out at 8pm - therefore my late reply...

What you are describing sounds pretty scary - 30lbs weight loss - it must have been bad...

I do the moaning thing sometimes while trying to talk.. but then usually I actually get ti out. my problem is I'll also open my eyes and seem perfectly awake-- but I'm dreaming. Oh, that's good to hear! Better to take it safe Yeah, what i had wasn't fun at all but it was also self-inflicted lol. I was moving states and so I was having to pack, etc. I had made this really good soup and was eating it up as I was packing.. putting it in the fridge, taking it out, puttting it back, taking it out... and I would take some from the tupperware each time and heat itin a bowl. Well,a few times I forgot the main tupperware out-- and once was even for like 10 hours. Anyway, i managed to get it to the point I guess where it had begun to spoil but not taste/smell bad and was still eating it.

Ammar talks in his sleep in Arabic too! I have decided to keep something next to the bed so i can write down what it sounds like he is saying. One time I knew he was dreaming about me because he spoke in English and was asking me if I had checked on the baby. When he woke up I asked him what he was dreaming about and he said he was dreaming we had a baby.
