Hi to all VJs,

I am just wondering if someone already had their biometrics... Does anyone know how long to stay in the application support center to take their biometrics? I am already scheduled for my biometric but my schedule is tight. Please advice me if takes 2 to 3 hours staying inside USCIS.

05/21/07 : I-129F Sent

02/24/08 : INTERVIEW

12/12/07 : MEDICAL

01/09/08 : VISA IN HAND

Thanks for the response... that helps me alot, another question is, do we have to be there early? and I dont have any US ID yet, can i just bring my Philippine passport? Also what is the alien registration card? Is it the card that attached to your passport that is called the I-94?

We were there for about 40 minutes. Someone was on break! So there was only 1 person doing biometrics that morning. If you do not like the date, you can reschedule with no problem. We did!

Now that I found how long to be there, i should just leave early just in case it will be a long line. 2hours spare time is enough for me.

I had my biometrics last June 19. We arrived there an hour early and since there was no other applicant they allowed me to take my biometrics right away. I was done within 30 mins and we left the USCIS office even before my appointed time. Your passport will be fine along with the appointment letter. You can bring also your marriage certificate if your passport is still in your maiden name. Good luck (F) .

I suggest you get there early. They seem to process on a first come, first serve. Ours was quick - 20 minutes --- but I understand depending on the staffing and number of people, could be a while.

Your foreign passport is fine.

When asked for your A# - it is on the I-94 in your passport.

Yes you have to be there earlier than the scheduled time so u can line-up earlier just in case there are other people waiting. Your passport is fine and don't forget to bring along your marriage certificate with you. Actually, to be safe, bring other papers that you think is important so you don't have to worry so much.

I think depend on which office, mine was about 15 minutes, and my son about just five minutes (at afternoon at 3 o'clock), it was in San Antonio office. I suggest to come early, and don't forget to bring your paper work.

I had to wait two hours to have biometrics done. I wasn't allowed into the building until 15 minutes before my appointment time. Some offices do things differently than others.

It really does depend on the time of day / amount of other people waiting / how many staff are working .
