The only time it concerns me is when I think about being older and not being able to do as much. A good incentive to stay fit - that's for sure!!! At the begining, when we first met, I had huge issues with the age difference. I just couldn't believe that a gorgeous guy like him would want anything to do with me - but he's done a pretty good job of convincing me otherwise.

I love him more than I can say - the age doesn't make a bit of difference at this point. Except when we try to listen to the radio - I want to listen to the 70's channel and he wants the 80's!!!

I'm 10 years older than hubster and while it's not a concern now, I do worry about the future. I hate to think of being so much older than him and him having to take care of me possibly.

I should add that my family and friends have been extremely supportive about me being with an older dude; in fact, a lot of my relatives were telling me for a long time that I should be going with someone older, particularly after my previous engagement didn't work out.

What's really funny is that after my parents split, my mom married a (wonderful) guy who is almost ten years *younger* than her, so he and Ewen are almost the same age!

Hubby is 10 years and 2 months older than me, no problem at all.

BTW, my parents are also 9 years apart and his parents have more than 10 years age difference. I think it runs in our family

The older you get, the less a concern an age difference is. When I was 16, I dated a 29 year old (my parents hated this but I couldnt see what they could see). At the time we were basically on the same level. But I grew up and 7 years later he hadnt changed much at all. We had absolutely nothing in common. However, once you are a little older, I dont think that age differences make much of a difference at all. Relationships are based more on communication than the ability to do the same things. True, the older person might not be able to go out roller blading or other activities when the younger one still can, but things happen in life all the time that change a persons abilities physically ... age isnt the only thing. As long as both people are mature enough for the relationship, then age doesnt matter.
