I'm 24 (will be 25 in May) and Shane is 20 (will be 21 in March) and I don't notice a difference. My ex who was 24 when I met him and I was 18 is WAY less mature even now that he is almost 30 than Shane is. He's way more mature than his years in most aspects, but every man acts his age or younger sometimes

You people crack me up. This thread is about age differences and some of you are 22 and 24.

Carly and I are 24 years apart. When we first started talking, she thought I was older and I thought she was younger. I was never really into going to clubs and getting super drunk. To me a good night is a movie or a quiet walk together. Maybe have a few friends over. I like classic rock, she likes new rock. Heck, she even went to Lollapallooza. She was drag racing when we met and I've always been a car guy.

Despite the age difference, we seem to have a surprising amount in common. Same tastes in things. Same views on the world. When we met I asked her why not somebody her own age. She said guys are boring at that age. And I was tired of the silly games that women my age play.

Most people think she's younger than she really is and for me they think I'm older.....this is fine for now, but someday I'll probably pass her in the looks department. Would you think she's.....50?

I think the thing that gets me the most is that she constantly makes me laugh. More than anybody else has in my life. And it makes for a great time together. And the nights spent sitting or laying next to each other just talking are probably what I miss the most about being away from her.

I agree I thought this was going to be a developing thread about May-December age differences. That usually indicates a significant difference ie. 10+ years, which would have interested me since I'm in that category Instead it's turned into "How old is everyone?"

My husband's 22 years older than me, and we have NO problems whatsoever. I'm mature for my age and he's young for his both physically and mentally. We are very alike and it isnt something I ever really think about, we're both really happy and contented. As someone else said before, I've found my soulmate.

For those of you who have a significant age gap, were you asked about it at all during the interview?

I 'assuming' you mean perfect for YOU two there as opposed to perfect for all

I'm only mentioning it cos when I was 21 I was still a kid, certainly not a perfect age to commit my life to another - heck I could barely look after myself emotionally never mind another person, plus i wanted to travel the world and do stuff like experince life before I settled down.

Now I'm more content with life, a parent, responsible for another human being, and more mature (I wont say 'I AM mature' cos I still have the capacity to be an a$s just like everyone else )

I am 10 years and two weeks older than Lisa. She did find it amusing for two weeks this year when she was still in her 30s and I hit my 50s! But apart from that we notice little difference apart from the length of time in takes to recover from excess of alcohol!
