We filed for AOS last month and received biometric appointments for July 16th. Rin's children are under 14 years old; so a biometric fee is not required when filing the I-485. However, we received biometric appointment letters for them. I plan to take them, but didn't know if it was normal for children to have biometric appointments. Will they also be fingerprinted or do they just have to go and show ID?

The kids also have to be there and their pictures will be taken, they will also give one fingerprint and they will have to put their signatures into the system. My daughter is 7 and she had to do all that, i asked them and they said its normal. :wacko:

It is normal and they will be processed....

Their pictures and fingerprints that will be taken at the biometrics will be placed on their greencards, so I believe you need to take them with you. :thumbs:
