I sent this story to my fiance and he told me that when he was a cashier, he hated when people gave him $2 bills or $1 coins, because there wasn't any spot for these in his cash drawer.

I read about that story a year ago...maybe longer.

Since then any time I think of it, and am in a bank, I ask if they have any $2 bills and I exchange for them.

I have a whole bunch now, and still haven't used one....they are just so "cute". Hee, hee.

I have even been asking for the new dollar coins!

Perhaps it is time to know that they will recirculate and not worry that I will lose them forever.

I wonder if the machines on the Chicago buses would accept them instead of two singles??

Green card/residency card: email notice of approval – August 28th, 2008 yippeeeee!!!

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010
