FYI to all my fellow VJ members...

Fathima successfully collected her passport and visa packet from the counter at VFS courier office at Chennai. So, the counter collection of the passport from the VFS office on the next business day after the interview date is at least TRUE in Chennai. It should be true in other VFS locations too...

im so excited.. as fas ar me, my husband is in the train to chennai now, he wil get there early morning in chennai and is going striaght to listerns lab then to drsanjan johns office..

he will take a flightback from chennai to hyderabd after he is done

the time has finaly come, where he has gone for his medical i cant belive it!!!

cant wait til he cals me, he said hel call whenhe reaches chennai

We are so excited for your hubby's medical and interview, he is in our prayers :star:

It was so convenient to pick up the passport from VFS office. Only thing is they update their system every business day at 3PM. Passport pick up is between 4:00PM and 5:00PM. If there are no show, they will immediately courier it. Other thing, Fathima told me they want a copy of the passport to pick the passport. She had taken all the files again to pick up the passport.

I am in the middle of house cleaning every day evening, it is pain... And my hands hurt :star: Now the house looks much better, though...

There was another funny talk with her too. She wanted to bring some spices from India. Almost her luggages are full. So I joked like this: 1 KG spice may cost Rs.100 ($2), but if the luggage is excess, you need to pay Rs.1,000 ($25) for extra 1 KG, which makes sense ??? So, she was convinced...

I was reading in another thread about how Fathima asked you NOT to bring flowers at the airport..........buddy trust me and do bring her flowers :P

You knwo how woman are, at least I know how I am ;), we will say things to make it look like we are all considerate and we really even mean it, but well a dozen roses will cheer her up a whole lot ;) so do surprise her even if she said no :P

Apr 22th, 2008 recevied Case number(generated and sent on april 14th)

Apr 22th, 2008 recevied DS-3032/AOS Bill

Apr 24th, 2008 Sent AOS Bill to NVC

Apr 24th, 2008 emailed NVC for Choice of Agent.

May 2nd, 2008 email accepted for Choice of Agent

May 5th, 2008 Immigrant Visa Fee bill generated

May 8th, 2008 Got IIN and paid Immigrant visa bill Online

May 9th, 2008 packet of information generated

May 12th, 2008 AOS package sent to NVC

loto i am leavin here on july 24th and wil arrive in hyd on july 26, and same day at night we r flying to chennai, and wil reach chennai 26 night so we have all day on 27th to tour and then get ready for interview on 28th morning

it will be a hectic trip but im looking forward to it!
