Yeah Tammi, it has been quite an experience that we went through with removing the conditions of residence and finally finding light at the end of the tunnel. We are nine days behind you. I believe we, like you, have accomplished our end of the process, but always concerns as to whether the USCIS is doing their jobs correctly as well. If this takes good luck, I wish you and your husband good luck in meeting a fair, honest, and competent interviewer. Now that is where the luck factor enters the picture. Ha, shouldn't we be able to learn the credentials of the interviewer and have a choice?

Good Luck!!!!

My experience with N-400 was nothing like the I-751. Naturalization process took me 3 months and everything was smooth. I had interview on June 26 and my oath is on July 11.

On the other hand, my I-751 was not approved for 16 months and only during the citizenship interview they finally approved it. It was a long long journey for me.

Good luck for you guys!!!!!!

Yay!!! My husband Tom passed. He got called in and asked if I could come in, but the woman said no. She was really nice he said, and he was only in there for ten minutes. She didn't look at a single piece of paper I prepared ahead of time, nor the extra photos Tom got done the other day (we'll save those for his passport application). All she looked at was his greencard and passport. And she asked if he's been out of the country since the application, so she updated that (we went to Canada for a weekend). She said Happy Anniversary to him (it was Thursday), and then began the test basically.

These were his six questions:

1. What is the capitol of Ohio.

2. What is the min. voting age.

3. What was the 49th state added.

4. What colors are the stripes on our flag.

5. In what year was the constitution written.

And he can't remember the 6th, maybe the one about the white house or something.

Glad to be done with this. She said the oath ceremony would probably be within 3 months. I need to get on the ball and get the flag flown over the white house and we will have a party for him whatever weekend is closest to his ceremony. Today we went out to lunch after.

Thanks everyone.

Congratulations! The flag that is flown over the Capitol is very easy to get...I recommend the 3X5 cotton flag - it is lovely and just the right size. Also, I found a flag case at Michaels craft store for only $20 - $12 with my coupon! :wow:
