I dont know what to do on how to correct my name that my fiance put on I-129f.We had been approved already last may 22,2008.I had my MNL CASE NUMBER and still my name that appeared on a letter i have received from the US EMBASSY was still incorrect name..ive never done any move to correct my name coz my fiance said it was just fine...this is how it goes...

This is my full name is as it appears in my birth certificate and what i put Iin G-35A or on biographic information that we passed (before it has been approved)and in my passport that i just recently processed.

MA. THESSA CRUZ GOMEZ

(first name or given name) (maidedn name/middle name) (last name)

my fiance put this way(as it also appears on the letter i received in us embassy)

first name: MARIA

middle name:THESSA

last name:GOMEZ

I am wondering if it will cause a lot of problems before my interview?..anyone can help me about this?It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like it will be a problem because legally your middle name is Cruz and not Thessa. Why don't you call USEM and inquire about this matter so that it will be fixed before your interview or it may cause a delay.

Good luck.

Have you called for interview already? If not yet, be sure to inform the call center agent about the discrepancy in your name, they will change it in their data and they should also be able to give you proper instruction on how to correct it directly with USEM immigration unit.

If your fiance will be the one to call, it would help if you will both be online chatting (best if you also use yahoo voice or skype voice while chatting) when he makes the call so you could give him proper instructions when he needs it.

Good luck and God bless.

That's an issue (a reall problem). Please call the USE and they will inform you of how to correct this error at their location. I would also have the USC contact their representative and have them inform USCIS of the mistake also in order to cover the error on all fronts.

Cheers!!!

You can call the embassy in advance to make the corrections but it should be before the interview. You would need to do the correction when you call for interview schedule coz they will ask you to spell your name out. My fiance mispelled my daugther's name on the I-129F and we only found out about it when we called to schedule interview. They corrected it and instructed us to write a letter stating so and so and then faxing it to the embassy. I would have shared the format with you but I have been digging my files and couldn't find it na. :( so just ask the call center agent how to go about it and make sure you get the right fax number from them also.

Btw, when did you apply for passport and when will it be released? if malapit na cya marelease, pde na kayong tumawag for interview schedule, total hindi naman agad-agad yong schedule and you would have the option to have it end of august or early sept (if open na ang sept.) 1 month will be more than enough to gather all documents na.

Good luck sayo.
