Ok, I just sent in the I-129F packet to the California Service center and received my first NOA. I also sent the paperwork to my fiance in India who then informed me that I put the wrong date for his birthday (I'm a terrible fiance). I wanted to know if anyone can suggest the BEST and FASTEST way to correct this error... please help!

Thanks so much!

What happened? Did it get ammended? Did you have to do anything?

In my case, I have correctly put my fiancee's name in the app form. However, w/ NOA1 when I received it, it says my name instead of my fiancee's name as beneficiary. When i called them, they had the right name in their system for beneficiary. They also said name changes will be made during adjucation.

Do I need to do anything to correct the situation?

Our lawyer entered a wrong divorce date for my fiance and some typo errors. Lawyer assured me those wouldn't matter 'coz we had supporting documents. We did not receive any RFE.

Just hope and pray the adjudicator won't notice it.

Good luck :star:

HI, Don't worry , Even if the adjudiccator noticed it won't be a problem , they will just fix it at the time of the interview , there are too many people make mistakes in their applications , I remember i did a mistake in my naturalization form and the interviwer fix it for me with his pen .

Good luck

My Stupid mistake was that I switched my First and middle name on I-129F AND put my Fiance first name in middle name box with no First name :bonk::wacko:

I have received the NOA1 showing the mistake. Should I send them a letter explaining it or should I wait and see what Happens.

Easy to solve. Did something similar where I in the philippines the last name becomes the middle name and I did not know this. So to correct the mistake call USCIS and then when you get a real person request that you want to fix a type on form XYZ, block XX. The petitioner needs to do this. They will give you a reciept number. They may fix upon adjudication but at least then you have a receipt number that you requested this to be fixed. We had a total of 4 forms to correct and it took about 45 days before they sent us an email back that this is resolved on some forms and will be resolved at adjudication on others.
