CERTIFIED COPIES OR NOTARIZED COPIES....FOR I-130 PETICION

I am so confused abot that....my husband is going to send this week the file to USCIS, but we want to know if we need to NOTARIZE the copies of our birth and marriage certificate????..or we should just send SIMPLE COPIES of all our documents...???

PLEASE HELP...!!!...I AM CONFUSED WITH THAT :wacko: ....if you could reply me in English and Spanish, will be great..

01/20/2009...APPROVED...NOA2...wooohooo!! **NOA2 175 days after NOA1**

2009-01-27 : Case Number Assigned

2009-01-28 : DS-3032 sent (by e-mail)

2009-01-30 : DS-3032 and AOS bill generated

2009-02-04 : IV Fee bill generated

2009-02-03 : Response from NVC to emailed DS-3032

2009-02-03 : DS-3032 Choice of Agent accepted

2009-02-23 : AOS PAID (online)

2009-02-23 : IV bill PAID

2009-03-10 : AOS package sent to NVC

2009-03-10 : DS-230 sent to NVC

Hola,

No estoy pidiendo la visa CR1 pero lo que he leido es que uds solo tienen que enviar una copia pero tambien es necesario enviar una traducción en inglés de los documentos, si es que están en español. En ese caso, creo que sería necesario llevar la traducción a un notario para notarizarla.

Tenemos todo traducido y legalizado por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores...por eso preguntaba si mi esposo necesita obtener copias simples o notariadas.....Ahora sé que son sólo copias simples..

Ely, Copy of the original birth certificate and marriage certificate is enough to file I-130.

Originals are needed at later stage in NVC.
