Overpriced man-made sanitized hype. Spend the same amount of money (or less) to see something of natural beauty. There is plenty of it out there in this country. I've never understood parents who take the kids to Disney every year, yet never take them to see the "real" rest of the country.

It is really expensive, which is one of the reasons I have only been there a handful of times even though I live 2 hours away for most of my life. I do think though that if possible, it's worth going to at least once in your life. I think it's truly magical.

But Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios(in Orlando) have a great deal, an 18 month or so pass to both for $119 sometimes. I had that pass a few years ago(it was only $99 through AAA), and I liked that I could go for a few hours and then leave without feeling like I wasted lots of money. But I don't like roller coasters or heights so I'd rather go to Disney, but it's way more expensive. (my ankles are bad so I can't walk around these parks all day, it hurts too much!)

But one day, we will go to Disney so Sujeet can see it, it may not be for awhile though. By then maybe Kavi could enjoy it. I am not taking a baby or toddler there, too much work and they can't really enjoy it yet.

one of our nieces and nephew's uncle bought them all Disney passes.... they always like to buy the kids big and expensive things.. I guess they think the more expensive the gift the more they love them or something

but it is funny because I just get the kids a couple of movies and they seem to like those way more then the big expensive gifts ..:P

I just looked...through my AAA, a 12 month pass to both parks(Univ and Islands) would only be 112.95....with blackout dates of course. But I wouldn't want to go during the hottest months and when it's peak tourist season anyway.

do they? don't go to Six Flags either. That's gotten a lot more expensive over the years.

and that's just to enter the gate...it's another $112 for a family of 4 to eat and buy anything for one day.... LOL
