Just wondering if I should bring a few wedding pics plus a few recent pictures to my CR1 interview in Montreal?

I have read other posts quite awhile back that people would bring their whole wedding albums and the officer did not even look at it.

Thanks

Better to be safe than sorry. Just because the Consular Officer (CO) didn't look at other peoples' files closely doesn't necessarily mean that you will be so lucky. Be prepared for the unexpected. Mom and Pop were asked how they met. Take everything you can or think will convince the CO, underpreparation frequently leads to lamentable results.

Better to have more stuff, than not enough!! I brought some pictures, travel receipts, etc etc. Purchased one of those plastic 13 file accordion binders to put everything in.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I thought you were going to say that you also brought videos and stills from the honeymoon.

Yes, if you have them, bring them! What I ended up doing (so as to avoid lugging a photo album on the plane) was to put a few pictures of me and fiance and fiance with dog in loose photo album pages and bring those. Of course, we don't have a wedding album yet, and most of our vacation pictures don't have either of us (much less both of us) in them (just pretty scenary and signs that amused me). But if you have extra copies of some of your better wedding photos, that would be an option as well.

Good luck!!! Not that you need it, you'll do fine.

What happens if you don't have any wedding pics? My wedding was done with the pastor of my husbands church and his Wife was present so we didn't take any pictures it was very short and sweet because we are planning to have a reception here in Toronto eventually. I actually don't have any wedding pics but I do have a lot of pics of me and my hubby from family gatherings for the past year. I was wondering if I should bring those pics for my interview?
