Update - After embassy called

When after ten months of AP the embassy called my husband back yesterday to say that processing was done and he should submit his passport. I once again had some hope in my eye but also had the fear in my mind that again I will hear that he did not get a visa yet.

And once again, that is exactly what I heard. This was the same day I had to host an evening for a some guests who had arrived from my home conuslate and needless to say I was unable to enjoy the time because I wondered how 8 people could get visas from the same consulate but they cannot seem to give my husband a visa. Its not even pulling teeth anymore, it seems I am trying to draw water from a 50,000 ft well and seem to lose every, single, time.

What they said was they will make a decision on the 221g sheet and to come back in August 10. MAKE A DECISION?!!! Isn't that what TODAY was supposed to be! God only know how horribly ill hearted I have become...I am just sick of this wait and wish so hard that it did not have to come to this point where I have lost feeling for all things. When my husband called this morning, he reminded me again as I always remind him, that this is better than nothing. Yes it is much much better than nothing, but my hopes of finally seeing him this summer is over, as in August the medical will expire and this may drag on to God knows when.

I know there is no use trying to fight fate, and I am not trying to do that. I just wish for once I could put that dancing man on a post and say, ya we got the visa.

My dear Tammy,

I am so sorry that again you are let down by all this nonsense the Embassy is giving you and your husband. But the good news is, August 10th. You know what I mean.

Is it possible for him to re do his medical and have that ready when he goes back to the Embassy?

Do not despair! Keep writing those letters. Meanwhile, many of us here are praying for you and we are here for you, and we do love you!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Tammy I have lots of dancing men waiting for you when God decides the time is right. And we know in the whole scheme of things one more month is nothing but right now to you it seems like forever. Your waiting is almost over and this is a good sign.

What irks me about these situations is the embassy thinks we have nothing better to do than run to their office whenever they want. Come here so we can tell you to wait longer, come here so we can ask you a question, come here just for the fun of it. They play with our money and emotions like it is nothing.

I will say an extra prayer tonight for strength and understanding (and maybe a boot to the head for the embassy ppl).

Hang in there Tammy the end is in sight.

Oh, I wish I could edit this post! Its too late now, but everyone I want to apologize for acting like an ingrate. I hate folks like that, and don't want to be one. I am sorry to God for even thinking anything except positive thoughts.

Everyone who is waiting, please hold on, every day you are closer and as someone once said, "Patience is bitter, but its fruit is SWEET."

God bless everyone, and never commit the sin of being ungrateful. Look at all the blessings we have. When you ask yourself, "You I trade my life with anyone?" I am absolutely sure no one will say yes, because we do not know how much pain the person next to us has.

So, a toast to being grateful! Thank you everone, and thank you God, for every single sweet word, and blessing.

Tammy,

All of us that endure long AP's have our ups and downs and your news was unsettling to say the least. We had already discussed we thought the visa would be issued and I am still stunned that they did not do it now. May God continue to hold you both up and give you strength during this last stretch.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

I am sorry for your news, but you also have some good news too. Your case is out of AP  and you are now just waiting for the interview. August 10 will be here soon. Write the embassy and wait for their response, that kills time for me.

Tammy,

I am so sorry to read that they have put things off again! I am really praying that you will have your "dancing men" on August 10. Believe me, I had definitely gotten to the point that I did not believe it was possible for them to put a visa in my husband's passport, but now that you are out of AP there is NOTHING stopping them.

You will get that visa, and you WILL get to live with your husband. Stay strong as always!

You are in my thoughts

Dear Tammy,

I am sooo upset on how they are treating you!!!! There has got to be someone in that Embassy who is especially against your case.

Really, I am just sick with they way they are treating you!!!

Would it help if you go back together on August 10 to Embassy? Can you get the medical redone before August 10?

Please know my heart and prayers is with you!

Tina
