hopefully soon after we make it through this process we are going to be looking at buying a house in the philippines was wonder what steps we will need to go through and has anyone else done this are first goal is for a vacation home so we will have our own place to stay when we go to visit family but eventually we are looking at retiring there so any information will be helpful

great ideal, but the house can not be in your name. It can be in your wife or an other filipino name. Suggest you build near her family so they can watch the house when you are not there. Good luck.. God bless.

My nephew built a house in PI a few years ago, Ownership will have to be in a PI National Ownership.

Houses / Hotels are so cheap you can rent one each trip you make, and when you get ready to retire then I would consider building one then.
