AOS Longggg Delay.. Supervisor Review

we filed our AOS in 2007 w/o an approval yet of the I130 (still pending from 2005) had our AOS interview in 2007 and was told that we needed our I130 approved before he could approve our AOS well in 2008 the local office scheduled an interview for our I130, we went and less than 30 days later, we received the approval of the I130 and then received another interview for our AOS, we went, and in less then 30 days, we received the 10 year greencard. That is how it worked for us. The I130 nearly took 3 years for an approval. We contacted our congressmen, senators and state reps, etc. and nothing really helped, just always received the same generic answers, "it's pending" and when we stopped making all these inquiries, then out of the blue, everything started taking place. Your case sounds like mine!!!! We also are waiting for the I-130 to be approved but were told that AOS and I-130 are to be approved concurrently. We had our interview in May and she said all seemed ok but she needed to review our case files again and that we don't need another interview. hubby had the biometrics again and we're waiting,waiting,waiting...

fingers crossed...we also wrote to the ombudsman just this week so let's hope that we hear something from USCIS in 2 months or so. We are tired of waiting...

Shakil...wait for the ombudsman and then think of the mandamus...
