July friends - my fiance is coming to visit me this weekend and wants to use the word "fiancee" if asked who he is here to visit. That makes me very nervous. i don't want him to be turned away. Aubrey, Shannon&Nick and anyone else that has any experience with this, can you remind me what your fiances' said when questioned about their visit? He will have a copy of his lease agreement, his work contract, his itinerary w/ return ticket information and a copy of the NOA1.

My fiance came over last month and they didnt even ask! he got right through. Be prayed up, you'll be fine!

Well, when Andy came in POE last time, we hadn't applied for our K1 yet, and had no way of proving his intent to return to Germany other than his return ticket (not by choice, it's just our unfortunate circumstances). So we didn't fess up to the fiancé status (we were still hoping for his student visa to work out, which he'd applied for prior to the engagement), but were very direct about our plans for his visit (where we were traveling, how we'd met, and every last detail). Andy was grilled and then they called me and grilled me, but all of that, I believe, started due to his lengthy stay (almost the max on VWP) and that he wasn't carrying much money with him.

I think since you have proof of his return, you should just be straight with the officer. No matter, it's always a ####### shoot and their judgment call to make, anyway.

Just finished the "Packet 3" stuff this week in Brazil. That was a project but at least now it's ready for the interview whenever that's scheduled. Anyone looking at AOS stuff yet?

Yeah, and if you haven't yet, you should. There's a ton of paperwork you're going to have to fill out... far worse than the K1 stuff, imo.

what is in packet 3 I just thought it was the DS-230?

the UK packet 3 is as follows so I would assume its similar for other countries but dont quote me!!!

DS230 part one and two

DS156-2 copies

DS156k

DS157 for all male applicants 16-45

A new and updated affidavit of support has also been suggested in numerous topics.

AND all the other documents, if you want a complete list PM me

affidavit of support a new one??? what is that supposed to me?

I was only asked to show my return ticket.

If asked I was just going to say I was visiting friends & family.

My take on it is - Don't lie at POE but don't offer information they don't ask for.

Hope he has no problems.

No, not yet just NOA2 hardcopy but I am sure its on its way here! Next week I will call my Embassy to see if they received my case yet.

Hey guys, what is the best courier to use when mailing documents from US to Pakistan/Asia? Also how long does it take & how much does it cost?
