This may be a ridiculously early time to ask this question- but have any of you looked into the logistics of your foreign fiance(e)s getting a U.S. drivers license? Sebastian doesn't have a license in the UK so we think he'll need to start from scratch here in Pennsylvania. I can't seem to find information on a foreigner getting a Pennsylvania driver's license (not sure if he'd have to get a permit for 6 months, then get a license like they make teenagers do here, or if he could jump right into taking the test itself) but thought maybe you guys would have some experience with this.

Obviously, we have much bigger fish to fry right now, but it was something that came up in conversation yesterday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you!

From past experience I know he had to start from scratch like a teenager. Take the written test...get the permit and then take the driving test.

Yeah, and if you haven't yet, you should. There's a ton of paperwork you're going to have to fill out... far worse than the K1 stuff, imo.

I'm really really hoping that you guys will get your approvals VERY soon!! I understand that some people have had trouble getting on the uscis site. so you may have been approved this week and not know yet!!

I really can't fathom out how uscis processes the files as we all pretty much have the same kind of timelines. It's wacky alright!

we need more approvals from july!!!!

There is a medical questionaire to complete, although they do not ask for medical records from Dr's.

One of the questions is: have you ever had any mental disorder or depression?

How would they know if this form had been completed truthfully? Consequences of such??

true true.

I just do not want anythinggggggg to screw it up nor does he. We been through hell and back with his parents. His dad has come to terms mostly, I wont say 100% but he is dealing. MOM though is another story. THey know they can't do anything as he is an adult, but lord knows she has tried. THey even hired someone to try to get me to talk dirty with and of course i told kai about this moron trying to talk to me. He found the conversation on his dads computer about 6 months ago. THIS was a huge confrontation and Kai had to call the police on his father. They barely talk as it is now, BUT it is better and he has accepted him coming here and trying to make the effort to get along with me.

Like I said with his mom I do not exist and I am a phase to her (been together over 2 years and still a phase lol)

Anyway sorry had to vent....I just want him home and they will just have to deal with it..its OUR life

love you all!

Wow they have really put you through a mess. Hope things get easier and that they will eventually come around but like you said it isn't their life it is your life. My future MIL is awesome...she treats me just like she treats any of her children and she treats my daughter as a granddaughter. I talk to her at least 3 times a week.
